A building permit has been issued for Firewheel Plaza, a new shopping center to open between Home Depot and Lowe's, just south of the Firewheel Town Center across SH-190. Anchors that have signed leases are Best Buy, Half Price Books, and PetCo. There will be a full-service restaurant opening on one of the pad sites. Numerous other tenants will fill the stores between the anchors.

The center will have some interesting architectural elements, including a varying-width sidewalk. The serpentine edge will give a meandering sense to the center, allowing a diverse use of the sidewalk area and varying landscape elements.

Click the illustration above to see an expanded elevation and top views. Creative names have been used to show signage and don't show actual tenants. Sorry, no G-Town Sports has been signed—that's where the PetCo will locate.

Do you have an approximate opening date for Petco?
